IIT Indore Collaborated with IIM Indore to Offer Joint Two Year Course: Read Full Report Here

Indian Institute Technology Indore has collaborated with IIM Indore to offer a two year Master of Science Program to students in the Data Science and Management domain. The program will be offered to students from the academic session 2021-2022. 

IIM Indore and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore directors have signed the MoU in September 2021. The collaboration has been done to offer a master’s degree program. The program will mainly focus on data, technology, people, and enterprise domain.

Referring to the initiative, IIT Indore officials said, "Data, Technology, People and Enterprise Strategy are four pillars of the program. The objective of the academic program is to cultivate the much-required skill for data scientists such as big data technologies and solutions". 

Additionally, the program aims to offer skills in data management, project management, big data analytics life cycle, as well as system thinking to all interested and registered candidates, the Indian Institute Technology Indore’s official statement released further added. 

Adding to the statement, IIT Indore Faculty Member, Professor Jain stated that Indore has two premium management and technology institutes. The institutes of Indore, both IIT Indore and IIM Indore will now jointly offer post-graduate level programs to students and fresh graduates.

Prof Jain said, "We had inked an MoU last year in September to share our resources and work towards joint research programs. I am very happy the thought process has now been executed with the introduction of the Master of Science program in Data Science and Management”.

The IIM and IIT Indore Course 2021 is specially designed to ensure that students can understand the course concepts with ease. The course meets the expectations of working Data Science and Management executives and professionals, he added. 

“The content and pedagogy of the program are designed based on inputs received from both the Institutes on market requirements. The program will be offered through online mode and we are very hopeful that soon it will be converted to offline mode” he said.
