New Delhi:  IIT Hyderabad has emerged as a prominent player in the Indian education landscape. Over the last five years, IIT Hyderabad has consistently ranked within the top 10 in the engineering category as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework. The overall position of the institute has also improved in the last 5 years.

IIT Hyderabad ranked 22 in 2022 and this year the institute's rank has gone up to 14. In 2021, the institute held the 15th position in research rankings, which improved to 14th in 2023, and it secured the third place in the newly launched innovation category.

IIT Hyderabad NIRF Rankings: Last Four Years

Below is the NIRF ranking for the last four years:

IIT Hyderabad slipped by over 100 ranks in the QS world university rankings. Rankings from 581 to 590 bands to 691 to 700 this year. The institute has also been featured in the world rankings for three consecutive years 2021, 2020, and 2019 in the 601 to 800 band. Since from the last two years, it hasn’t featured on the list.
