New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) has embarked on a collaboration with H4XLabs to build a strong connection between the defence ecosystems of India and the United States. 

The partnership between IIT Hyderabad and H4XLabs represents a convergence of academic excellence and cutting-edge industry expertise.The primary goal of this collaboration is to strengthen the defense startup to expand and navigate to the US defence markets. 

The collobaration will further provide tailored go-to-market strategies and access to investors and defence stakeholders. INDUS-X (India-US Defense Acceleration Ecosystem) is a collaborative effort by Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX), the Ministry of Defence, and the US Department of Defence (DoD).

The workshop was organized by iTIC and H4X to begin the INDO-US CrossLinX accelerator program. On the program, startups would showcase their products as a part of Demo Day in India. 

The launch of this program was comprised of a series of sessions on the US defence landscape by experts from different domains. There were various defence startups and MSMEs participated in the event. After the startups are prepared, they will go on a trip to the US for 7-10 days to engage with government officials, defence contractors, and stakeholders.

The director of IITH, Prof B S Murty has conveyed best wishes for the success of the accelerator. He added We are confident about the blooming strategic cooperation between India and the US through various initiatives like iCET and INDUS-X and assure the support of IITH to such initiatives.”

According to the Dean ITS of IITH, Prof Suryakumar S “The Joint Accelerator Program is a testament to the collaborative spirit of INDUS-X and we hope that it will galvanise the Indian startups for a global presence”.
