IIT Hyderabad and MANUU have collaborated to launch an innovative Science and Heritage initiative bringing together the history, heritage, and technology of the Deccan region.

IIT Hyderabad Collaborates with MANUU for Science and Heritage Initiative

New Delhi: The H K Sherwani Centre for Deccan Studies (HKSCDS) at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Design at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH). This collaboration aims to collaborate on the innovative Science and Heritage initiative. 

According to MANUU, the signing of the MoU marks a significant strategic alliance, as it brings together history, heritage, and technology to showcase, promote and preserve the vibrant cultural heritage of the Deccan region. 

In addition, the MoU enhances the existing collaboration between IIT Hyderabad (IITH) and Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) by extending their cooperation to the Cluster University concept of the Glue Grant. 

This collaborative effort will focus on critical areas such as water, air, environment, and livelihood. The MoU is designed to facilitate joint research and development activities in these domains.

The MoU is three years long, during which both institutions will actively engage in collaborative projects and knowledge exchange. 

The signing ceremony was conducted at IIT Hyderabad along with the IITH faculty members, Prof Siddiqui Mohd Mahmood, and Prof Chandrashekhar Sharma, Dean of Research & Development at IIT Hyderabad. The event was attended by Prof B S Murty, Director of IITH, and Prof Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor of MANUU, as mentioned in the IIT Hyderabad notification.
