IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi Campus Kicks Off Its First Academic Program, Students Connect with PM Modi

New Delhi: IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi has marked a significant milestone with the initiation of its inaugural academic program, the Masters in Energy Transition and Sustainability. This event was held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other officials.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended and interacted with the students from the first batch of the IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi campus. He called the inauguration a new chapter in bilateral relations between the two countries.

PM Modi mentioned that this not only begins a new chapter in bilateral collaboration between India and the UAE but also brings the youth of the countries closer together.

The campus of the IIT Delhi, in the United Arab Emirates, was envisioned by the leadership of the two countries in February 2022. The moto behind this collaboration between the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) is to provide quality education opportunities to students globally.

The Prime Minister’s Office said, “It would foster partnerships between the two countries in the fields of research, innovation, and next-generation technology.”
