New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is all set to organise the 27th edition of Asia’s largest science and technology festival – Techfest 2023-2024 from December 27-29, 2023. There will be multiple competitions including Cosmoclench, Meshmerize, Techfest Olympiad, Codecode as part of the fest.

The theme of IIT Bombay Techfest 2023 is ‘The Mystical Realm: Where Imagination Meets Reality’. It will be organised in collaboration with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Make in India, and Digital India.

Through the event, IIT Bombay invites tech enthusiasts, defence aficionados, and the public to witness the historic confluence of minds at the Defense Symposium. Former chief of the army staff, Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria, former chief of air staff and Admiral Karambir Singh, former chief of naval staff will be present at the symposium. The former chairman of DRDO, G Satheesh Reddy will offer a unique perspective on defence advancements and challenges in the lecture session at the fest.

Bofors will reveal an advanced automatic anti-aircraft cannon that is 40mm Automatic Gun L/70 equipped with Fwcs Radar. DRDO's Laser Science & Technology Centre (LRDE) is another pivotal contributor to the symposium, addressing the Services' requirements in Radars, Communication Systems, and related technologies.

The elite National Security Guard (NSG) will showcase advanced weapons and K9 skills displays. The festival promises not only a celebration of science and technology but also an exploration of the future of defence in India.
