IIT Bombay Strengthens Semiconductor Research with Alumni Collaboration

New Delhi: The esteemed IIT Bombay has joined hands with its alumnus, Mr. Anand Inani, to establish a specialised Chair Professorship focused on advancing Semiconductor Technology. This collaboration aims to further IIT Bombay's commitment to extensive semiconductor research, fostering innovation and excellence in this field.

Anand Inani, an alumnus of IIT Bombay's Electrical Engineering Program ('97 batch), currently serves as the Vice President for Sales and Business at Samsung Foundry in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area. He oversees Foundry and ASIC sales, steering strategic business development to expand the customer base.

In a significant move, FedEx Express (FedEx) has pledged a substantial USD 10 million corporate social responsibility grant to establish Centers of Excellence (COEs) at both IIT Bombay and IIT Madras. These COEs are set to lead pioneering research and development endeavors, actively nurturing India's startup ecosystem.

The collaboration between IIT Bombay and Anand Inani signifies a strategic step toward amplifying research efforts in Semiconductor Technology. This partnership is poised to fuel innovation and technological progress, leveraging Inani's expertise and IITB's academic prowess.
