IIT Bombay claimed the top spot in the recent IIRF Ranking 2023. Apart from IIT Bombay, institutes like IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, and IIT Kharagpur secured second, third, and fourth positions, respectively in the IIRF 2023 Engineering Colleges Ranking.
New Delhi: According to the latest IIRF Rankings 2023, IIT Bombay has emerged as the leading government engineering college in India with the first rank. Following closely, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, and IIT Kharagpur have secured the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
Among the top 20 government engineering colleges in India, Uttar Pradesh claims the highest representation with three colleges featured, while Delhi, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu each have two colleges listed in the top 20.
Apart from the IITs, several other engineering institutes have been ranked by IIRF in the Top 20 such as Anna University, NSUT, Jadavpur University, etc. In line with the NEP 2020, the IIRF has recently published a new ranking titled "Top Private Engineering Colleges for Employability."
Topping the list in the category of "Top Private Engineering Colleges Employability" is Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani), located in Pilani, Rajasthan. Following closely is the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and the Vellore Institute of Technology.
