New Delhi: On March 7, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay enthusiastically celebrated its 65th Foundation Day. Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, was the chief guest for the occasion.

The grand celebration was held in the Prof. B. Nag Auditorium. For those who didn’t attend the event in person, it was broadcast on the IIT Bombay YouTube channel. The festivities kicked off with a welcome address from Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director of IIT Bombay.

Key Highlights of IIT Bombay's 65th Foundation Day

The celebration event for IIT Bombay's 65th Foundation Day featured rich and engaging sessions. Following the opening address by Director Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri, the Chief Guest Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood shared insights in his address.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of esteemed awards, including the Prof. S.C. Sahasrabudhe Lifetime Achievement Award, Prof. S.C. Bhattacharya Award for Excellence in Pure Sciences 2023, and Prof. H.H. Mathur Award for Excellence in Applied Sciences 2023.

Individuals were honoured with the Distinguished Alumnus and Young Alumni Achiever Awards. The event concluded with a vote of thanks.
