IIT Bhubaneswar Placement 2020 Seems Promising; Highest CTC at 45 LPA, 32% Students Recruited to date; Latest Updates Here

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar has begun the placement 2020 session from December 01, 2020, showcasing 33% of recruitment made so far with highest CTC peaking at 45 LPA. Keeping in mind the COVID-19 pandemic, placement drive is being conducted through online means.

However, beating the coronavirus pandemic blues and subsequent economic slowdown, students at IIT Bhubaneswar showcased some promising trends to date as a total of 33% of students have been selected for various positions by reputed firms. 

While comparing trends from the previous year, the institute has received lower international offers. Despite that, the placement drive has recorded the biggest domestic packages across all IITs as compared to 2019 data.

IIT Bhubaneswar Placement 2020: Highlights 

IIT Bhubaneswar has received offers from reputed companies including Amazon, Code Nation, Optum, and Oil India Limited. The offer for the same has been extended up to 88 students. 

This year counts as the first time for any placement sessions to be conducted through online means. Additionally, IIT Bhubaneswar Placement 2020 has surpassed the recruitment data of 2019, by making the highest offer of Rs 45 Lakh per annum.

Referring to the overall performance of the university's recruitment drive, Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar said, “Majority of the recruiters are IT and core industries and are wide-ranging indicating a growing trend this year". 

"Better placements over the last year indicate an optimistic placement scenario despite fears about the pandemic situation affecting the business economy throughout the globe” he further added.
