The Indian Institute of Mass Communication released the result for the online entrance exam thrice this year because of technical errors.
Indian Institute of Mass Communication - [IIMC], New Delhi has announced the entrance exam held on October 18, 2020. The National Testing Agency conducted the exam online in the wake of the Covid-19 situation as a one-time measurement.
Aspirants expressed their aggravation on social media regarding the errors on October 30, 2020. Some named the IIMC Exam 2020 as #iimcentrancescam while complaining about several lapses in the results.
The technical glitch displayed more than one allotment for some candidates and only one seat for others.
Taking the matter on their hands NTA released the first revised results on October 31, 2020 and then on November 2, 2020. Upon investigation, it was found that 28 candidates were using unfair means during the online exam so their results were withheld and have been debarred from appearing on the entrance exam for next year.
General Director K Stish Nambudiripad remarked that the issue has been resolved. The institute has rectified the results after the technical glitches were reported.
IIMC Entrance Exam is a university-level test conducted by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication for admission to PG Diploma courses in Journalism, PR, and Advertising and Radio and TV Journalism offered at 6 campuses affiliated to the institute.
The exam was held on October 18, 2020, in online proctored mode. IIMC 2020 Entrance Exam Results have been released on October 31, 2020.
