IIM Indore Signs MoU with IIT Indore to Work on Common Interests, Share Resources

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, whereby both the institutes will look to bolster relations between the academic members, students and research groups of the two institutes. The MoU was signed by the director of IIM Indore, Professor Himangshu Rai, and the director of IIT Indore, Professor Neelesh Kumar Jain.

Both IIM Indore and IIT Indore will work on common interests and share resources, such as their top faculty, for joint consulting and research. The institutes will also offer joint programmes in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, analytics and technology, and collaborate on working for incubation centres.

The director of IIM Indore said that the agreement will enhance the reputation of the institution as a provider of state-of-the-art management skills to businesses and enterprises. He said that the mutual synergies of the institutes will allow both of them to offer value-addition to students, faculty and enterprises in India and in the world.

He added that it will also bring fresh perspectives and rigour to technical and management-learning pedagogies, and the benefits will be enjoyed by both the academia and the industry.

The director of IIT Indore also spoke highly of the MoU. He remarked that this was the first official collaboration between the two institutes.
