New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management, IIM Bodh Gaya, in association with IIIT Surat, has announced is involvement as a Nodal Centre in Yuva Sangam Phase III.

This initiative of IIM Bodh Gaya, which is a part of the government's Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat program, aims to strengthen interpersonal relationships and instill empathy among the country's youth. It's worth noting that around 25,000 students have already registered for the program nationwide, with Bihar contributing more than 1,300 registrations.

Out of these, 45 students will have the opportunity to visit IIIT Surat as part of the program.

In the Yuva Sangam initiative, participants are grouped and paired with a partner state/UT. Each group spends a week in their designated state/UT, immersing themselves in local culture, traditions, and developmental projects. Additionally, they engage in cultural exchanges, homestays, and community service activities.

The Phase III of Yuva Sangam 2023 is presently ongoing, accepting registrations from October 18 to November 15, 2023. Eligible participants, aged between 18 and 30, include students, NSS/NYKS volunteers, employed or self-employed individuals, and others.

Yuva Sangam 2023 emphasizes experiential learning, urging participants to deeply engage with local cultures and understand the lives of common people. This fosters a profound comprehension of India's diverse culture, promoting empathy and respect for individuals from various backgrounds.
