IGNOU Extends Ph.D. Admission For AY 2024-25; Apply till November 25

Indra Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the admissions for Ph.D. programmes for the academic session 2024-25. Interested candidates can apply till November 25, 2024.

IGNOU Ph.D. Admission 2024-25 Eligibility & Selection

• Candidates who have qualified for fellowship/scholarship in UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/GATE/CEED and similar National level tests are eligible for admission based on Personal Interview.
• Candidates will be eligible for admission based on NET scores from the academic year 2024-25 instead of Ph.D. tests conducted by the institutes.
• Candidates without JRF but a valid NET score are eligible based on the test score and interview. 70% weightage will be given to the NET score and 30% weightage to interview performance.

NET Candidates Eligibility

Candidates with a valid NET score are eligible for Ph.D. admission in three categories:

• Eligible for admission to Ph.D. with JRF and appointment as Assistant Professor.
• Eligible for admission to Ph.D. without JRF and appointment as Assistant Professor.
• Eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme only without JRF or appointment as Assistant Professor.
