ICT Mumbai Launches MBA Program in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development

The newly launched ICT Mumbai’s MBA IEV is a two-year full-time program designed per AICTE guidelines, blending theoretical knowledge with practical application (Capstone Projects, Action Learning Segments).

New Delhi: Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai has launched a two-year Master of Business Administration (MBA) course in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development (IEV), which will be offered from the academic year 2024-25. Further details regarding the admission process and fees will be available soon on the official website of ICT Mumbai.

This is the first time ICT Mumbai has offered a degree course besides engineering, marking a significant shift in its academic offerings. The course has received approval from the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). As per AICTE regulations, the first batch will consist of 18 students.

MBA in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development (IEV) is a two-year full-time programme designed per AICTE guidelines, blending theoretical knowledge with practical application (Capstone Projects, Action Learning Segments).

Learning Modules include Technology Management, Venture Creation, Financial Management in New Ventures, Social Impact Strategy, Corporate Law, Business Management, Social Immersion, etc. Students will get Hands-On Experience in Opportunities for Start-up/Incubation Residency, Venture Establishment at ICT-NICE Venture Incubator and Foundation, etc..

Professor Aniruddha Pandit, Vice-Chancellor of ICT, stated "We don't want to go by the conventional way of the management course; this course will be unique and allow students to become entrepreneurs. In this two-year course, we are introducing an additional immersion course after the first two semesters. In this 3-month course, students will get an opportunity to work in villages and other locations to explore their talent as well as pick up any topic for entrepreneurship too."
