My leadership style is based on the principle of the golden rule, “One should treat others as one would want to be treated.” Hence, I practice being honest and fair as a teacher. I believe that I should always carry these moral and ethical characteristics over to serve the college and the students.

Any insights into how your institute could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

We practice effective ways to present new information orally to include differences in students. Group discussions, thoughtful questions, reflective responses to students, rewarding students' participation, active learning, corporate groups, and goals to grade connections are some ways to make our lessons engaging. Apart from all this, we get to know our students, maintain consistent communication, and acknowledge and respect every student. We practice cultural sensitivity, incorporate diversity in the lesson plan, and give students freedom and flexibility.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the Institution and the students are?

As a teacher, my roles and responsibilities towards the students are not limited to just delivering content. As a teacher, I aim to inspire curiosity and passion for learning.
