He has grown from the ranks right here in the institute, starting his teaching career as Lecturer in the year 2003. He obtained his Master’s Degree from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He has published 25 research papers in various reputed National and International journals, besides a couple of patents to his credit. In his impressive teaching and administrative career, he has consistently promoted innovative teaching practices and imaginative thinking. You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

Yes, I have held key positions at educational institutes throughout my professional career as Lecturer in Political Science. After that I have been working as a Principal since 2007. Every educational system is shaped by a variety of elements such as syllabus, skills of the educators, content and methods of educational system and good collaborations with other institutions.

Being the Principal of Viswam Degree College, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

Being the Principal of Viswam Degree College, my Philosophy of leadership is to build a good college environment that enables Lecturers to flourish and students to excel. Giving clear directions, cultivating the talents of Lecturers.

Being the Principal of Viswam Degree College, how do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?

Understand our situation. Lead with the vision and values of our college. Concentrate on our strategic planning efforts and key areas.

The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your university?

Yes, it is different when compared with foreign countries.

How does the curriculum of Viswam Degree College ensure the best practice of industry?

Started with different departments namely Commerce, Computers, Mathematics, Life sciences, Business studies and Humanities, each program is a three-year graduation degree, consisting of six semesters. The curriculum itself is designed with Skill Development courses and Skill enhancement courses in order to provide the Industrial Training during their course. In addition to enhancing the Industrial skills every year we are conducting Add On Programs on Communication and soft skills.

Any insights into how your university could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

The seats are filled according to the reservation policy of higher education.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students are?

We are expected to take primary responsibilities for their learning, in particular to be self motivated and self directed in the management of their learning. To pay all the fees and charges which are due to the University in connection with their studies and their residence.

What do you think should be the Institute top priority over the next ten years?

We think our Institute will occupy the top position over the next 10 years. Now our Institute is accredited with NAAC A Grade with 3.19 CGPA, in a short period it will become an Autonomous College and over the next few years we are planned to be a deemed University.

When you first came to VDC, what was your vision for the university? 

Yes, we started our college with less number of students. The vision of our Institute is to provide the students with knowledge, skills, values and sensitivity to face the challenges in life and academic fields.

What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?

Our University is a Public State University located in Tirupati in A.P, India as S.V University. The motto is Jnanam Samyaga Vekshanam which means wisdom lies in proper perspective. The University was established in 1954 and the Campus covers a large area of land leased by TTD.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and for VDC specifically?

The biggest challenges are being a rural area college providing best facilities to the students. By conducting awareness programs in rural areas about the importance of Education.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students? 

My suggestion for current youth and the aspiring students is to never give up, the problem which came into your life will definitely end. Build self confidence.

What are some plans that you’re currently (or will be) designing for VDC international affairs and/or students?

Plans designing for International affairs or students. Providing skill development courses and Training. Awareness Programs for real life situations. Career guidance and motivational programs to the students. Internships, Placements for their better life.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relationship and environment in your institute/ university?

We can develop healthy relationships in our college by respecting each other's personal space and time, accepting responsibility, valuing opinions, and communicating openly and fairly. Some Cultural programs conducted by college combined together like Fresher’s day, Youth fest, Samskruthi Tarang etc. Co-curricular activities and NSS workshops will be conducted regularly.
