BITS Pilani has announced that BITSDES will offer a Bachelor of Design Honours degree program for students from the academic session 2024-25. It is a four-year full time residential program.

BITS Pilani Launched BITS Design School in Mumbai Admissions to Open from Feb 26

New Delhi: BITS Pilani has launched the BITS Design School (BITSDES) with an aim to create a future-focused design school that combines technology, business, and entrepreneurship in design education. The design school will start the application process for admission to its first Bachelor of Design Honours Program from February 26, 2024

Located on a state-of-the-art 60-acre fully residential campus in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, BITSDES by BITS Pilani will offer students ultramodern design infrastructure, creative spaces, and faculty from around the world. BITSDES students will benefit from robust interfaces – Technology, being a part of BITS Pilani, and with Management, and collaborating closely with BITSoM (BITS School of Management). 

Apart from this, all students will work on live industry challenges with a strong understanding of human behaviour, generative AI, sustainability, and collaboration through the lens of human and humanity-centred design.

What is the Bachelor of Design Honours Program?

BITS Pilani has announced that BITSDES will offer a Bachelor of Design Honours degree program for students from the academic session 2024-25. It is a four-year full time residential program. Meritorious students will receive generous scholarships to enable access and preserve diversity. 

After the course completion, students will be able to choose from the following career pathways:

  • (Physical) Product Design
  • (Digital) Product Design (UI/UX)
  • Human Centred Design
  • Experience Design
  • Visual Design
