Dublin City University: A Review

VG

The University takes pride in hosting well versed faculty and allowing students to conduct their own research in academics and practical world to upskill and nurture oneself for real-life scenarios. The faculty, and staff continues to support you long after the course completion so you can be sure you are in good hands even when abroad.

Course Curriculum :

In my opinion the course curriculum was of great significance in preparing students for real life scenarios and teaching the relevance of research work.

Exams :

For admission in Masters in International Relations IELTS was required along with the marksheets from graduation. My IELTS score was 8 Minimum IELTS score required was 6 Yes, SOP and two LOR`s were required highlighting any experience and reason for joining. Also, I had one round of interview, although interviews largely depends on the course one is opting for, the key to ace the rounds is to demonstrate confidence that you deserve to be a part of their University.

Placement :

Unfortunately, during my course year the pandemic (covid) hit, so due to lockdown we didn`t get placement opportunities. However, there are placement cells that fully support local companies along with multi-national companies.

Fees :

The tuition fees for MA international relations it was 15000 euros yearly and varies for each course.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio depends on the course intake and the module person chooses as the course is based on credit system (certain number of credits are to be collected in a given year). The faculty is very supportive, approachable, and understanding.

Campus Life :

The University has 3 campus sites each hosting it`s own gymnasium, pool, sports complex, library, and community centers. The vast campus holds beautiful green fields and parks to walk, play or hangout with your friends between lectures.

Hostel :

The campus accommodation has lovely ambiance with sharing and non-sharing rooms, as well as fully furnished apartments you can opt from within the university. Each accommodation has several options of shared dining and laundry rooms as well as private en-suite.
