  • Dislikes:
  • Lots of theory, Long examination period, Short mid-term breaks

Course Curriculum:

The curriculum is taught by professors who are researchers as well of the respective departments. So naturally it is more research-based and based on the latest findings up to the previous decade.

Fees:

1500 euros for international students + semester contribution of around 150 euros

  • Dislikes:
  • The cost of living, including accommodation and daily expenses is relatively high here in Stuttgart.,
  • Sometimes language is a barrier at the University, as some courses are only in German.

Course Curriculum:

The course curriculum is highly updated and relevant. There are many specializations to choose from. The variety of elective courses allows us to tailor the education to our specific interests. There are many practical courses and labs as well which gives opportunities for hands-on learning. The curriculum also has options to do a research project under the guidance of a professor.

Fees:

Tuition fees is 1700 euros per semester

  • Dislikes:
  • Stuttgart is a bit costly. So for more money, the room that you get will be smaller than the rest of the cities.,
  • Dorm rooms at the university are small. It's clean but really small so I find it a bit inconvenient. But there are better dorms but it's a bit costly.,
  • Subjects are difficult. Becomes a bit stressful to manage studies and working student jobs. It's not something I don't like but yes it's stressful to study. But I believe it would be the same for any TU because it's focused on research.

Course Curriculum:

The course is updated every year. It's very relevant. You can have industrial experience by applying to work student jobs in companies.

Fees:

1600 EUR per semester. It's not tuition fees it goes to the state. The semester contribution is 332 EUR.

  • Dislikes:
  • Dealing with the admin can feel like navigating a labyrinth. From registering for classes to sorting out financial aid, be prepared to jump through hoops. The campus lacks that vibrant, buzzing atmosphere you might expect from a university. It's not exactly the place where you'll find spontaneous gatherings or exciting events around every corner.

Course Curriculum:

The course syllabus is updated and recent and relevant things are taught to us. The research experience is got via various internships and work-students.

It was a good experience overall. I got what I wanted from the university. Prof, courses and friends were the things that I had aimed for. I got them all and more.

  • Dislikes:
  • Labs are inadequate and less intake even though the intake for masters in very high. Doesn't allow for external thesis or research projects. This is very stupid in-fact, doesn't provide a topic in University and doesn't allow external ones.

Course Curriculum:

Course curriculum is Up-to date and relevant, no industrial experience given, Plenty of research experience available in the means of Hi-Wi, projects and thesis.

Fees:

1700 Euro

  • Dislikes:
  • Infrastructure for the course, the class itself is okay but the lab exercises are not explained enough and most of us were clueless on what to do. The opportunity to work by yourself after classes in the lab was also limited.

Course Curriculum:

The course syllabus is pretty old, but gives a solid foundation for what's happening in the background. New topics are added and there is a possibility to take extra courses apart from the curriculum out of our own interest. The course is research oriented, so there are a lot of research opportunities. There is no compulsion to do an internship within the course but can be done voluntarily, though getting an internship will be tougher in this case.

Fees:

1700 euros including transport for weekend and evening during the week for a semester. It took me around 7 semesters to complete the course including an internship.

  • Dislikes:
  • "The only few downsides are that the courses may be a little too theoretical, and might not suit people looking for practical experience. Difficult to complete the course on time (although it's the case for any TU, especially a TU9) Getting on campus accommodation may also be very difficult. Apart from this it's a good place to study "

Course Curriculum:

The course is very theoretical, and there are no mandatory internships. However, you're welcome to take a semester or two off for doing an internship.

  • Dislikes:
  • There is nothing major to dislike about. Only thing is that Masters in Technical Universities can take more than 2 years. It’s almost impossible to finish the course in two years. Also information technology course can get complex sometimes. The number of courses in the specialisation are overwhelming, sometimes it becomes hard to choose courses as all are great courses and it’s not possible to do everything. So one really need to be careful while choosing courses as it makes a difference when one is looking for jobs.

Course Curriculum:

The course is very updated and very relevant to the industry. The University and some companies collaborate together for some research projects. For example BCAI ( Bosch centre for Artificial Intelligence) has tied up with university of Stuttgart. Student can work there masters thesis around such collaborations. I was lucky to work with Bosch as a working student and also worked for some other companies like BEC GmbH and Kaiser + Kraft GmbH while studying.

Fees:

  • Dislikes:
  • - The state of Baden Wüttemberg has a semester fee of 1700 Euros - The University has strict policies with respect to its course and might be at times difficult for students to deal with it - You might miss the final convocation ceremony the way you must have imagined

Course Curriculum:

The course is regularly updated based on the Industry trends. The exams and assignments are perfect to blend with the academics.

Fees:

1700 Euros per semester. Average is 4 semesters but it might vary depending on individual needs.

  • Dislikes:
  • My University is in the State known as Baden-württemberg, Germany where tuition fees is NOT waived off for Non-EU students, whereas in all other states of Germany, tuition fees for STEM courses is zero for Non-EU students as well.

Course Curriculum:

Very relevant as it relates to upcoming technologies in Climate Protection. Yes, I did two internships, few researcher part time jobs at research institutes and University to compliment my knowledge spectra. University also organises few excursions, plant visits every year.

Fees:

1500 euros plus 200 semester contribution.
