- There are multiple reasons, the first being my love for science and the second being the research being carried out at the institute. The MPI is one of the oldest and the most reputed research institute in the world. The institute offers opportunities in various fields, recognition and collaborations with premier labs.
- Well, there in nothing NOT to like. I love the city, the people, the research, the environment and the endless opportunities. I really like the exposure that we get as young individuals towards research and new techniques on a daily basis.
Dislikes
- There is nothing that I dislike, however one thing is that the program is a bit fast. It is a 1.5 year masters' program and you have to be (almost) always on your toes to make up for all the credits. So, there might be some things that you feel you are missing on (like pursuing internship somewhere else). But at the end of the day its worth it.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is pretty diverse and covers every aspect of the degree. They also offer language courses and courses to develop interpersonal skills. You end up learning a lot of basic and advanced science on your way. The program happens to be very international, so you also end up learning about different countries and cultures.
Fees
The tution fee is around 250 euros per semester, but since its a funded program it becomes easier to pay from the stipend
The international Master's/PhD/MD-PhD Neuroscience Program is a member of the Göttingen Graduate Center of Neurosciences and Molecular Biosciences (GGNB), funded by the German Excellence Initiative, under the umbrella of the Georg-August University School of Science (GAUSS). It is conducted jointly by the Georg-August University Göttingen, the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, the Max Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine, the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics, and Self-Organization, the German Primate Center, and the European Neuroscience Institute Göttingen. The intensive, research-oriented education qualifies the students for professional work in the fields of neurosciences.
