Overall it is a nice experience. Obviously getting acquainted with the new life style and teaching is challenging and will initially be difficult, but it gets better with time. Attending lectures in the University instead of sitting at home and watching them online definitely helps.
Course Curriculum :
The course is very well designed. It gives a lot of practical exposure along with theoretical knowledge.
Exams :
LORs CV Mention your internships and projects in you CV, your test scores and college GPA, topics you have covered in your curriculum, work experience (if any). I had an interview round after my initial application got selected. They asked basic questions on statistics and computer science. The questions were based on a the list of topics mentioned in the LMU data science website. They just check whether one has a clear understanding on the topic.
Placement :
I have heard they are very good. Haven't been to any job fairs yet. Companies like BMW, Audi, Deloitte, etc. and a lot of pharmaceutical companies also approach. Jobs are not only confined to Germany. You can apply to any country in the world and I have heard the recruitment rate is pretty good.
Internship :
I have gotten a student job as a research assistant in one of the projects under the department of statistics at LMU.
Fees :
We pay a per semester fees of around 150€.
Faculty :
We have a cohort of 19 students. We are taught by professors of the statistics and informatics department. They are pretty approachable and helpful.
Campus Life :
There are lot of societies and events that take place throughout the year. I don't know very well about it though since I just joined.
Hostel :
Finding accommodation in Munich is tough. You need to look through a lot of pages and sites. Ultimately everybody finds a home but it is difficult initially.
