TISSNET exam has been replaced with CUET PG 2024 exam for admission into PG courses. As per CUET PG eligibility criteria, you must obtain atleast 50% in the relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent. No specific age bar has been set by the official to appear at CUET PG exam.
You must be an Indian national to appear for CUET PG exam. This year, CUET PG exam was conducted from March 11 to March 28, 2024 and the result came out on April 13, 2024. If you want to get selected for your desired PG course, you have to appear for an online assessment taken by three panel members of Tezpur University.
As per TISS 2024 selection process, you will be considered for admission with 75% weightage in CUET PG and 25% in online assessment. During the online assessment, you will get certain topics on which you have to put forward your opinions in 2-3 minutes. Post-completion of the interview rounds, the official will release an open merit list of all shortlisted students. Also, a tie-breaking policy is used if two or more students obtain the same scores.
TISSNET (CUET PG) 2024 Eligibility Criteria
NTA has published the eligibility criteria for appearing at CUET PG 2024 exam as written below:
Nationality
Indian Nationals belonging to certain categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Government of India.
Age Limit
There is no minimum or maximum age limit to sit for CUET PG entrance examination.
Educational Qualifications
You must obtain bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields, No minimum qualifying marks is set from the end of NTA. However, it is advised to score 50% or above in aggregate to keep yourself in a safe side.
Factors Determining TISSNET (CUET PG) Eligibility 2024
Tata Institute of Social Sciences has laid out a few factors that will determine if a candidate is eligible to fill CUET PG application form or not. They are as follows –
- ‘Pass Class’ indicated in the Bachelor’s Degree of the candidate would be used for the purpose of determining their eligibility.
- Candidates in the final year of 3 or 4 years of graduation and have not cleared all the courses (main, major or substitute) of 1st and 2nd year are not eligible to apply for the exam.
- Candidates with 10+2+2+1 bridge course pattern or any other pattern with 15 years of formal education from a recognized university/ institute are eligible to apply.
- Only those candidates who will be able to complete all the requirements of their final year Bachelor's Degree examinations by June 2024, are eligible to apply to all TISS Courses.
- If any information provided in the application form is identified as incorrect or misleading, it will result in cancellation of the candidature.
- If a candidate has failed in the final year exam of their Bachelor’s Degree, he/ she will not be allowed to take part in the entrance exam for admission in programs offered by TISS.
- Candidates who are provided admissions provisionally but he/ she fails in the final year will not be allowed to continue the program.
- Candidates will be required to produce all original marksheets and other documents at the time of the interview. However, candidates will be given provisional admission if they fail to do so, provided they submit the mark sheets by the specified date. Check TISSNET Selection Process
