Placement Experience:

The placements were just assisted but not guaranteed. We were the first batch, and not everyone is well placed right now. Some are still in search of jobs, and some are well settled. Raymond's, Kankatala etc. firms have my fellow students placed. Even other little designer boutiques and retail firms have my fellow students working there. The highest salary is almost Rs. 25,000 per month, whereas the lowest is around Rs. 10,000 per month. We didn't have campus placements. Every student had an internship in between our semesters.

Faculty:

The faculty was the best. Well experienced and helpful teachers guided the students through the whole course and even the placements later. Practical and theory methods were used to teach the syllabus. We had a three years course with six semesters, and all the syllabus was completed before the time. Exams also were seriously taken and judged without partiality. We have many co-curriculum activities throughout our study time in the college. We had good exposure to the industry through many activities in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course has been designed very holistically starting from the history of interior design and slowly progressing to more complex topics like orthographic projection, elements of design, graphic presentation etc. This is coupled with workshops and an interior design industry visit that gives much needed practical readiness to students. The course is not only very interesting but it is fun too.

Admission:

The admission happens completely on a merit basis depending on the percentage secured in 12th board examinations (from any certified examination board in any stream). The UG Diploma course is for three years and I chose the Undergraduate Diploma in Interior Design over Fashion Design since my family has an interior designing business and it has always interested me.
