Course Curriculum Overview:

The university follows the outcome based education (OBE). Based on the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). There are 8 foundation courses, 2 ability enhancement courses, 4 skill enhancement courses, 2 core courses, 4 electives courses, 11 audit courses and 8 generic elective courses. General Interest Courses - 06The course is a perfect blend of creativity, energy, communication, clarity and restraint. The curriculum is based on design thinking that incorporates both global design aesthetics as well as soul of Indian design. The highlight of my course is that the cluster programs are organized that gives us the opportunity to work with indigenous rural artisans that helps in the practical understanding of the traditional artwork. We were also taught the computer applications in first semester. There are printing projects in every semester and design handbook in the final semester.

Placement Experience:

We do internships at leading fashion houses/ manufacturing units to improve our knowledge and overcome the practical challenges faced. Some of my batch mates interned with the top fashion houses of the country like Anita Dongra House, House of Masaba, Ritu Kapoor House. We also interned with the apparel brands like GlobalDesi, Westside, FabIndia, Suut-organic clothing. There were many seniors that were placed with them.
