About AYJNIHH
Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan) (AY Nishz (D)) is an autonomous body under the Department of Disability Empowerment (Divyangjan) of the Government of India. The organization aims to promote and research in biomedical engineering to develop new aids and to provide research and sponsorship for the education and rehabilitation of the hearing impaired. Candidates can apply online for various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Diploma courses through the official website of the Institute. Candidates are selected based on an entrance test. Conducts counseling process to admit those who have qualified for the entrance exam. - Scholarship 1: SC / ST / PH students can get suitable State and Central Government Scholarships. SC students for SC students under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for Indian students who meet the standards of the new Central Region Scholarship Scheme of Higher Class Education.
- Scholarship 2: Scholarships are available in the New Central Sector Scholarship for Higher Class Education for ST students under the Ministry of Scheduled Tribes Affairs, Government of India, and New Delhi.

I choose this college because it's a government institute. We can be more exposed for practical knowledge. Got disappointed because classes are very very less. One have to study on their own. There are no proper planning for taking classes. Faculty are not much interested in taking classes of course they are busy. But I feel college should hire more teachers.

We have a good course curriculum which was recently updated. Having clinics from proves to be helpful in gaining practical knowledge. While working with facilities I shared a great experience. They helped us in and out of every problem we face.

Administration is horribly managed and dependent on one person. The head is not very involved. Most of The staff is incompassionate. It is a frustating and unhealthy environment for most students. But it teaches us a lot including self reliance, hard work and insane management and coping skills.

Curriculum was good. We had basic anatomy/ physiology and Ent in our first year along with psychology. The entire syllabus is divided into Speech and audiology and we have various subjects under it including the disorders their therapeutic treatments, intervention strategies etc.
