Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic eligibility:
- All applicants should hold an undergraduate degree with a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.3.
Indian students eligibility:
- All applicants should hold an undergraduate degree with a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.3 (B average, or upper second class standing). PhD applicants typically hold a Master’s degree from an accredited university.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
Scores Required
- International applicants whose first language is not English must submit language scores that meet or exceed:
- International English language testing system (IELTS) = Band 7.5
- Paper-based TOEFL = 580
- Internet-based TOEFL = 94
- Michigan test = 85%
- International applicants: Include a copy of your GRE results if you have completed the exam. Submission of a GRE test is not mandatory but is strongly recommended for applicants in the Construction Engineering Management area as it is considered in the overall application.
Required Document List
International Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to submit language scores. Minimum TOEFL score of 550, and a TWE score of 4.0 (computer based scores would be 213 and 4.0 or greater and Internet score of 94, writing and speaking minimum 25). IELTS (minimum score of band 7); MELAB (minimum score of 85); or CanTest (minimum score of band 4.5).
