Eligibility & Entry Requirement
The entry requirements for the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering program at Laval University:
- Academic qualifications: Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field with a minimum GPA of 2.8 out of 4.33.
- English language proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate their proficiency in the English language by submitting the results of an approved English language proficiency test.
- French language proficiency: Although knowledge of French is not a prerequisite for admission, students must be able to read and understand texts in French to successfully complete this program. Students who are not proficient enough in French may have difficulty in their studies. Students must ensure that they have a good understanding of French and, if necessary, take steps to improve their language skills during their studies (for example at Université Laval's language school). In the event of significant deficiencies, program direction can impose corrective measures.
