  • The BA in Information Technology aims at offering its students the necessary technical skills for developing and managing IT solutions for organizations, while also learning how to systematically organize such development and management efforts. 
  • Through courses in computer programming, database systems, data analytics, user interfaces, and web development, students will learn how to analyze, design, develop, and maintain information systems.
  • The BCom - ITEC ensures that in addition to essential technical and methodological skills, graduates have a deeper and broader understanding of business and commerce. Thus, courses on accounting, marketing, organization behaviour, enterprise resource planning, and strategy are added to the list of courses.
  • Students in the BCom - ITEC program will pursue specializations in:
    • Business Systems Analysis: will prepare students for a career as an information technology analyst, systems analyst, or information technology consultant.
    • E-Commerce Development: gives students the technical knowledge required for the design and development of consumer and business-to-business electronic commerce systems.
    • Information Technology Auditing and Assurance: responds to the growing demand for information system audit, control, and security professionals. 
  • ITEC programs will allow students to expose themself to the exact mix of technical, methodological, and business education allowing them to find their unique position in the IT world as a capable, adaptable and versatile IT professional.
  • Students will have the opportunity to advance their professional skills, make connections, and see how theory applies in practice during your internship, the duration of which can be anywhere between three and 12 months.
  • The average salary of the program goes up to 48,000 USD.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  •  Students must complete an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) degree.
  •  Students must have to complete the following course such as:
    • English (ENG4U)
    • Four additional 4U or M courses
    • 4U math
  • To gain admission to this program, the student’s academic average should be in the mid-70s.

Indian Student Eligibility

Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:

  • All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSCE)
  • Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)
  • Indian School Certificate (ISC)
  • Intermediate Examination Certificate
  • Pre-University Examination Certificate
  • Students also have to complete the Grade XII math course.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
