What Students Say
Likes
- Wanted to gain more knowledge about Aerospace field and Fanshawe had a good program which aligned with my goals.
Required Exams for Admission
Overall experience studying at Fanshawe college was good. Learning experience and environment is actually suitable for students but some programmes like mine lack the industrial skills and knowledge required to find the job and opportunity to have an internship so that you can get some industrial exposure is also missing.
Course Curriculum
I wasn’t exposed to any industrial training or research. Course Curriculum lacks advancements happening in Aerospace industry.
Faculty
Faculty and students are generally nice. Sadeem Qureshi who taught me lean manufacturing was one of the great professors I had and helped me a lot with adjusting to life in Canada and finding connections in professional world
Campus Life
Library and wifi facilities are very good at the campus . You can easily borrow a laptop or tonnes of books from library to finish your assignments or case studies . Library staff also helps students with writing assignments and researching and navigating resources.
Placement
My program didn’t have any placement opportunities. College did help with looking for jobs and preparing for interviews.
Accommodation
I didn’t opt in for on campus housing . They are little expensive . There are plenty of off campus housing options available like apartments, home stay programs and townhouses.
Exams
I took IELTS exam . My overall score was 8 . Background in engineering or Aviation or Aeronautics was requirement. I have to submit my resume and sop for the immigration application. I had an interview session with my Counsellor where I had to explain why I was interested in the course.
Fees
Total tuition for my program was $17000 CAD. It comes to approximately 8500 CAD per semester. Then on top of that , you have to pay health insurance which changes every year.
Scholarship
No, I didn’t receive any scholarships from the college. Although I did apply but was never accepted.
