- "College reputation, cost of living. For the course, it was the graduate certificate course which I thought would help me to under Canadian healthcare. "
- I like the diversity and support that my college provided. They celebrated each and every culture. Fanshawe provided a bunch of learning resources which helped us through the course.
- The main campus is very good and full of amenities for students. Fanshawe also help different job fairs for the students looking for part time jobs which was great opportunity.
Dislikes
- Schedule. My course didn't allow me to schedule my own classes. Which bothered me a lot.
- It was not convenient with my work schedule. All the events occurred mostly at main campus which was also bothersome.
- Fees. - I believed it was too much and every year there was an increase. It wasn't worth in regards of the courses that program offered.
Required Exams for Admission
It was indeed a good experience. I faced challenges but there were some people from college who always stand by me, supported me and mainly gave me confidence. I would say college is excellent everything else just depends on the program you selected.
Course Curriculum
I believed it gave me exposure to the Canadian healthcare but the curriculum was not that advanced or interesting. It was mainly about leadership aspects. I did not expect it to be like this. We did have research experience which was great. I got to learn many things by that as we have field experience. But there was not enough practical exposure.
Faculty
Well. I wouldn't say that every faculty was amazing. Some of them are yes definitely, absolutely amazing. They were so friendly, approachable, understanding. I am still in touch with some of them. They gave me their personal mobile numbers to keep in touch with them. We went on dinners as well.
Campus Life
Incredible. The main campus has everything. All the sports, video games, gym, library. Even there will be competitions such as table tennis or pool occasionally at every campuses. Movie nights were also very common activity in Fanshawe.
Placement
After my program I can get average of $35k - 40k salary. There is no placement offered by the program. You have to apply by yourself.
Accommodation
We were renting a 3 BHK apartment as we were friends. It was a sharing apartment and we bought everything by ourselves. One can rent personal room as well which may cost around $600 depending on the area. I would not suggest leasing the apartment for a long time if you are new students. Getting room on monthly lease is better option. Try to Rent with utilities included it will be more cost-effective. You won't be worried about using everything.
Exams
It requires IELTS score of 6.0 no less than 6.00 in each section. My program also requires related experience. My score - IELTS 7.00 I submitted SOP but it's not mandatory. In my SOP I wrote about how I became dentist, why am I selecting this programs, which jobs I can get after graduation. Why u chose Fanshawe college. And what is my future plans.
