Likes
- Offered full funding. Less financially strainfull. Got to work on a unique project.
- Big emphasis on research, diversity and acceptance of other cultures. Lot of activities to do in the campus. The proffs a really well qualified and lot of research projects. Every major festival or event is celebrated within the university and dedicated societies are there for each cultural backgrounds.
Dislikes
- Recent fee hikes has been pretty bad. The weather is pretty terrible with big flactutions. Winters are especially pretty harsh in Calgary. Campus residence can be pretty expensive. Housing in general is not that expensive outside campus but public transit is pretty bad.
Required Exams for Admission
My experience has been pretty great at the university. I was fully funded so I didn't have much financial strain. Great infrastructure, and facilities all state of the art. Calgary in general is a vibrant city but has pretty bad weather. Winter can be pretty rough here.
Course Curriculum
Very relevant and on par with industry standards. Great research exposure as well.
Faculty
Faculty is well versed and highly qualified. Not sure of the student faculty ratio.
Campus Life
All facilities are state of the art and lot of activities in different fields are available.
Placement
Career services are available but not much assistance in getting you jobs. They help you with resume and documentation, they also hold regular career fairs but that's is just more of a meet and greet.

Exams
TOEFL:110/120 GRE: 164 quants 149 verbal 3.5 writing GRE is not a requirement. An English exam IELTS or TOEFL is a must. Resume, SOP, LORs. Experience explanation and emphasis on projects and activities done. 1 round of interview with a professor to understand if I would be best fit for the research project.
Fees
8000 dollars per year.
Scholarship
Full funding with an additional tuition scholarship of 3000 dollars per year.
