Overall I had good exposure with University. I have seen growth in my knowledge as well as in communication specifically when it comes to technical talk. University offers an opportunity where we need to present our work in front of leaders, and tell about the invention we did. It is really helpful.
Course Curriculum :
Course is being updated every 2 years. Course also offers COOP program at the end of course which opens an industry exposure.
Exams :
My Scores: IELTS: 7 or above Writing 6 Speaking 6.5 Listening 7.5 Reading 7 GRE 305 SOP, LOR, and CV are required. LOR should be more focused on prerequisites of course. University has one interview round, usually about fundamentals of computer science. I had an interview with existing professor of data management course
Placement :
University invites variety of companies from all over Canada such as Dell, CRA, Deloitte, and many more. Salary range was 25-42 cad/hr.
Internship :
I got an internship in Tulip Inc. Stipend was 30 CAD/hr. I was interviewed with Tulip’s Project Lead. It was about half an hour interview.
Fees :
37000 CAD
Faculty :
I’m quite not sure about the ratio, but faculty availability is good. To reach out to any professor, 24 hour notice is sufficient.
Campus Life :
I joined the university while pandemic period. So wasn’t able to explore campus life. But overall it is good, university is in halifax, very quite and nature friendly city.
Hostel :
I was living in sharing rental condo. Average monthly cost was 1500 CAD
