As I said the campus impresses, I felt the climate suits me much more than the rest of the top universities in Canada, and being part of such a great school has resonated with many when I mention being a student there.
Course Curriculum :
It’s the closest course to a proper Engineering degree, and in my opinion it’s a bit overstretched with the CO-OP included.
Exams :
My SATs were 1420 and 1480 along with an IELTS of 8.0 with most of the tests above 8, however entry requirements dictate a minimum of 6.5. Yes. I made it a point to Submit LORS although they were optional, and SOPs were a major criteria. CV is usually not received by any of the top universities. Yes, We had a live video interview .
Placement :
No idea yet. I’m still on the process of understanding them.
Fees :
40,000 Canadian Dollars as of 2022
Scholarship :
No. As I hadn’t applied for any.
Faculty :
I for a fact know that they are perfect as to support and take and drop classes. It’s the seamless integration of faculty and administration that awes me.
Campus Life :
It’s one of the biggest campuses in the world. Probably smaller than the 100hectare campus of Stanford, but 1000 acres in the middle of the city of Vancouver with great connectivity and amazing infrastructures, the campus will impress no doubt. UBC has an incredible emphasis on student life and clubs too, with many Fraternities and sports clubs.
Hostel :
I haven’t proceeded with the university residence which is why I cannot calculate this at the moment.
