This comprehensive 2-year post-graduate program will prepare you for a wide variety of business management careers.  Learning from experienced international business professionals you will gain a critical understanding of the important elements of supporting a global business while gaining a cultural orientation to Canada and the communication skills necessary to be effective in a global business setting.  

The program will expose you to foundational international and Canadian business practices and help you strengthen your English communication, math, and statistical skills, within your first year of studies. Advanced international business practices will be covered in your second year, including Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales and Negotiation, E-Commerce, Finance, Business Analytics and Project Management, leading you to the development of an international business capstone project. 

The professors who teach Sheridan's International Business courses are personally experienced in international business. They are continually updating the program so that it accurately reflects current international market conditions, challenges and regulations.

This program is designed to prepare university and college graduates from a wide range of educational and cultural backgrounds to work as managers in international and domestic businesses of various size. Students develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to manage the human, physical, and financial resources associated with international trade. The first year covers fundamental business knowledge and skills, while more complex international situations and strategic areas are the focus of the second year. The course of study promotes teamwork and leadership skills, and enhances students’ capacity to work effectively in cross-cultural environments

The Global Business Management graduate program provides an internationally-focused body of knowledge and skills for individuals interested in extending their business understanding beyond the domestic environment. The curriculum emphasizes the skills and knowledge necessary to operate in different roles within international cultural, legal and political contexts. This broad-based program will explore the field of management both in theory and through practical applications considering different organizational lenses. Graduates will be eligible to apply for the FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) diploma, and the CITP (Certified International Trade Professional) designation (subject to one year of work experience).

You’ll develop the skills to effectively investigate, analyze, manage and direct most aspects of international trade for organizations. Learn from instructors who are experienced in international trade, investment, marketing, finance and business management. You'll work on live client research projects, where you'll help small and medium businesses capitalize on global opportunities.

• Postsecondary college or university diploma/degree, preferably in a Business Program
• Equivalent work experience in a business or financial setting will be considered on an individual basis
   

• Post-secondary diploma or degree, or equivalent; education or experience in a business setting is desirable.

• Degree or a three-year college diploma in any discipline
• We will consider applicants who have a two-year college diploma or partial (minimum 75%) university degree completion and who have a minimum of two years' work experience relevant to the program

• Ontario university or college degree or three-year college diploma or equivalent
• Applicants with an equivalent combination of partial postsecondary and/or three to five years related work experience may be considered for admission. A relevant resumé and references must be provided.
• English proficiency for graduate certificates 

• A Two- or Three-Year College Diploma, or a Degree
• (Note: minimum 'C+' average or cumulative 2.5 GPA)
• OR
• Acceptable combination of related work experience and post-secondary education as judged by the College

• Five years of work experience in the international business field as judged by the College to be equivalent
