The Carnegie Mellon Institute for Strategy & Technology (CMIST) seeks to train the next generation of political scientists who can examine and understand domestic and international government institutions and processes in the twenty-first century’s continuously changing global political structure. These are interdisciplinary programs that are rooted firmly in political science and draws on strengths and insights from decision science, economics, history, modern languages, and other fields.
The Academic goals of these programs are:
