The program is intended to give freshmen, transfer, full and part-time, students maximum flexibility in designing their programs while offering well-rounded, professional education for engineering technicians and technologists.
The first two years offer opportunities to prepare students to enter industry as an engineering technician with support responsibilities in such fields as research and development, product installation and maintenance, fabrication, production and testing. The following two years provide the additional technical and general education courses needed for expanded responsibilities and career development in engineering technology.?
Graduates will work as members of the engineering team in applied design, manufacturing, product development, production, and operations. They may also work in technical services including field engineering, customer support, marketing, and sales.
