DePaul University Chemistry Programs

At DePaul University Chemistry programs will provide you with the fundamentals of chemical theory and practice through scientific investigation, laboratory experience and research opportunities. As a chemistry major, you will have multiple opportunities to gain hands-on research experience working with chemistry faculty members conducting research projects funded through government, foundation and industry grants. Through either a thesis or non-thesis degree option, you’ll learn the theory and ethical practice of Chemistry within the scientific method and gain context for appreciating the history of Chemistry in society.

DePaul’s facilities include seven dedicated teaching laboratories, the latest instrumentation and a machine shop.
