  • The Joint Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (BSCHE) and Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (MSCHE) is designed for undergraduate students who desire to pursue graduate studies in Chemical Engineering or who wish to prepare themselves for advanced placement in the workplace. Students will earn both a BSCHE and an MSCHE degree upon completion, with 8 hours of course work shared between the two degrees.
  • Learn differentiation, curve sketching, maximum-minimum problems, related rates, mean-value theorem, antiderivative, Riemann integral, logarithm, and exponential functions.
  • Theory and application of chemical equilibria and instrumentation in quantitative analysis.
  • Computational methods and software relevant to unit operations. Excel spreadsheets (curve fitting, heat conduction), Matlab, Aspen Plus (process simulation), algorithms and object oriented concepts in chemical engineering.
  • Techniques and applications of differential equations, first and second order equations, Laplace transforms, series solutions, graphical and numerical methods, and partial differential equations.

Academic Eligibility: 

  • Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
  • Students required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.

Language Requirments:

  • Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.

    1. Personal Statement Required. This statement of purpose should outline the applicant’s current or previous work as relevant to plans and objectives for advanced study; describe professional goals and how these goals were developed; and state why the applicant would like to study in a research-oriented design program.
    2. Portfolio Applicants must submit a portfolio of no more than 20 images of current work demonstrating proficiency in the area of industrial design. Students who lack competence in computer-aided design will be required to take remedial work. Prerequisites and/or technical experience specific to this field of study may be required prior to entrance.
    3. CV/Resume Required.
    4. Letters of Recommendation Three are required.
