Accommodation
- I stayed on-campus throughout my course and contacted the university’s ResLife department directly using the contact information provided by the university.
- The rent was $460/month with a $250 refundable deposit, and it included utilities such as electricity, water, and internet.
- Finding accommodation was straightforward since it was managed by the university. No major challenges were faced.
- For convenience and security, on-campus housing is a great option. Start early if you prefer off-campus housing, and consider joining Telegram or Discord groups to connect with other students.
- Since it was on-campus accommodation, commuting was not an issue. Many Indian students also prefer staying on campus or nearby in shared apartments within walking distance.

- Location is near to financial city New York, Faculty is very much knowledgeable also I have closely worked with one of the faculty and TA.
- They conduct regional events and most of the events are related to India .
- Community is huge 90% are from Indian and 70% people are Telugu people only. Extracurricular involvement is more
Dislikes
- Very much cold weather as it is near to beach, sometimes no proper information from support, not every one but few of the members are not friendly as I faced at financial services while fee payment.
- Student to faculty ratio is more than 50+. As most of the community is Indian, I didn't felt like new experience also very less involvement with other country citizens and especially very less involvement with US citizens.
- Also everyone says that area is not that safe not sure why, after my transfer, I heard that there was a gun fire happened in university burnam hall which is food court of university.
Campus Life
- The university has one campus but have different buildings. It is around 56 acres. This is located at 126 park avenue, Bridgeport, CT. This university has library also you can access from your phone if you are looking for any specific books. It has huge play ground for foot ball, swimming, basket ball court, food court and indoor activities hall. This university gives priorities to extracurricular activities as well like any thing along with cultural events.
Accommodation
- I found my accommodation from university groups. Try to join the university or community groups in whatsapp, telegram or facebook. These platforms might help them finding the accommodations. If this platforms doesn't helps you, then you can also search for agents online like suleka is the one. I lived in individual house and monthly rent is about 2000$ with a group of 6 people. My share is 350$ + expenses. The minimum monthly rent is about 1100+$ for an apartment and it goes high depending on the facilities you choose. The challanges that I faced while finding my accommodation was every agent asked to sign for rental agreement which is mandatory in US. Initially I didn't find enough or proper persons to share the accommodation. Later I found some one who already leased and looking for person to share. So I felt like better deal and moved for it. Universities also provide shared accommodation in campus. You can also go for it which could range 400$ or above. My campus is about 7 miles away. I used to go by public transport which could take 30 mins to reach. If you have own vehicle, then you can reach with in 10 mins. Public transport sometimes take more time depending on the availability.

Campus Life
- We had a lot of campus events that happened daily, at least one event. There is corq app where we can find all the event details that are happening daily. It includes all the details, including location and timings. In campus there are several clubs that conduct many events. Out of all the clubs, my favourite is the SPB (Student Programming Board). They conduct exciting events in the campus
Accommodation
- I chose off-campus accommodation just beside the University of Bridgeport and monthly rent was $400-$450 that includes all facilities like gas, electricity, wifi, water bills, etc. Whoever comes to the University of Bridgeport, you can ping me at +91 8801776372 on WhatsApp if you are looking for accommodations near the university. I will help you out with the best and most affordable accommodations, as I have contacts of my friends who are staying there.

- High tuition fees: The financial burden is high and especially for international students like me it is really hard to bear the college fees.
- Overcrowded Classes: Specifically for computer science students, the classes are overcrowded but still we get attention from professors for any discussions.
Campus Life
Campus life will be awesome. There will be many clubs and events. Every Tuesday there will be a Purple Knights event with many different teams where students can expose their work and talent.
Accommodation
The average rent will be around $260-$450 per month. There will be shared rooms and single rooms as well. The overall expenses will be around $650-$750 per month.
Accommodation
Lived off campus in a sharing room in New York city. Cost would be around $500 per month. Fooding usually depends on your own.
Among all other university applied, this university offered me scholarship and plus the course in this university had subjects that i was interested in (like satellite design).
Accommodation
I lived in a dorm for two years and my only big issue was the cost. Sharing a room and living in shared spaces is it a problem for me. This past year I moved off campus and it is overall much nicer. I pay a lot less now and it is quite more comfortable than a dorm.
Swimming in college and studying my dream carriers of industrial and graphic design came together perfectly here with incredible financial aid. Our campus is only a 1.5 hr train ride to New York City which is a huge plus.
