I was given a decent scholarship and the program I originally went for, contemporary Christian ministries was offered only at this college and not other ones in my hometown. I also liked the idea of small class sizes.
Course Curriculum :
I think FPU professors do a good job with their curriculum, but sometimes the professors focus on too much rather and making experts on what matters most. Most required classes make sense, however, some of the required Bible classes and focus series are annoying.
Exams :
I only had to take the SAT for this college. Depending on how well you do on these changes the scholarships you receive.
Placement :
It seems like we have great job opportunities. Many alumni of the school who now have careers, come back and recruit students. We also have a career service that describes open jobs in the area frequently.
Internship :
It's not provided for all majors, but it does for some. I had to find an internship outside of school which was fine and simple. I'm not sure if an internship is required of all majors or just some, but it was for psychology.
Events :
Religious events like bible studies and college hour (church-like or discussion of religious topics). These are not required for students to go to but some give college credit if you attend enough of them in one semester.
Fees :
We pay 10/12 months of the year. We have a student body fee and pay for the semesters through a payment plan that divides the cost into 5 months.
Scholarship :
Yes, I get financial aid from the government along with the scholarship FPU offered me based on my college GPA and SAT score.
Examination Structure :
This depends on who your professor is. Some of them doing only two tests a year, some up to ten. Also, some do accumulative finals but others make the final just another unit exam. There is a lot of variabilities.
Faculty :
The faculty is what makes the college worth it. Most of them, even though it's a religious school, are very loving and accepting. The professors work hard for you and will accommodate your needs if you are honest and communicate with them.
Hostel :
I lived off campus. If you're under 21 and don't live on campus you must live with a parent or guardian. Once you are 21 or older you can live on your own or with peers. This was fine for me and I did not mind the commute.
