This university is one of the best business college in Michigan. The campus is gorgeous and has many resources for students. The setup of campus is also wonderful with having courses in their designated areas, and the library next to the student center filled with resources, food, and study spaces. I have enjoyed it by far. There are so many options for resources at WMU. The dining halls are amazing as they are newly built. The library is huge and a great study spot. And the newly built student center that is the hub for everything and that is great.
Course Curriculum
I started out with a film major and transferred to business. I really enjoyed it. The courses offered are beneficial for my future and I have already learned many useful skills that I have been able to use now.
Faculty
My professor Theresa for marketing was amazing. She was interactive and encouraging for the class. My other professor, Ariel Cornelissen, for English, was also amazing. She got me into reading.
Campus Life
Campus life is good. The dorms could be better, but they are already in developing new dorm halls. Everything other than that is newly built and beautiful. Wifi can go out sometimes but that’s expected. All of our resources are great though.
Placement
There has been many opportunities at mhm chill for internships that can lead to permanent positions. Salary estimated 120k/year
Accommodation
There are accommodating rooms. I have one. They allow service animals and emotional support animals. You can also get a single dorm for medical reasons if requested by a doctor or therapist. They do not charge extra costs or fees.
Exams
- There were no standardized tests to take. There was a placement assessment to determine what math courses will be required for each student. I received a 91 score. - SoP, LoRs, CV: N/A. This is not applicable to me. - No interview round
Fees
It’s roughly $33,000 a year in tuition. But many scholarships are offered.
Scholarship
Yes. I have received a few. I have the honors award scholarship of $14,000/year for graduating high school with a high GPA. I have a book scholarship from attending a pre-event before the semester started for incoming students. I got a scholarship for $3,000/year for also having high grades.
