I chose this college because it has both more traditional majors as well as a section of the school specifically devoted to a variety of arts. This allowed me to feel comfortable going into this school without a set major before my freshman year.
Course Curriculum :
The course curriculums are well picked as they all work to expand learning in one's particular field. They help us connect with internships and employment options in our desired field as well which has made me feel more confident with the major chose. The gen ed classes are also beneficial.
Exams :
For this university, they did not require us to submit any exams we took. I did take the SAT and I chose to submit it to the school. They also accept the ACT.
Internship :
They link us with other internships. This improved my experience greatly since I now work at the location I initially interned at. Certain PetSmart of the school also offers internal internships which I have not tried yet. The counselling centre, centre for academic achievement, as well as a few others, offer internships.
Events :
Lesley celebrates many holidays focused on diversity. They do this as well as doing small things for more traditional holidays such as Halloween, Valentine's Day, Christmas, and Hannukah events. They try to incorporate many cultures into Lesley's foundation.
Fees :
The fees were listed clearly but they avoided including costs of supplies for courses and the textbooks required.
Scholarship :
Yes, the financial aid they offer from the school is based on grade point average, so each year I have been here I have accumulated a different amount.
Examination Structure :
It varies depending on the class. Some exams are structured in a clear cut way going in order of chapters. Exams also vary from multiple choice to the short or long answer. Exams often focus on specific chapters.
Faculty :
There are a few amazing teachers who really seek to help their students excel, but there are others who seem somewhat unfit to be working in this kind of environment.
Hostel :
I initially lived on campus. The convenience of this was that I was closer to my classes and was able to be more social. I was also able to set up my own living space. The downsides of this were poor quality roommates and the costs of living on campus.
