Good. Campus life, course structure, living and eating options, scholarship opportunity, location is all great. But I expected better faculty, placement opportunity.
Course Curriculum :
The course structure is simple and updated. Most classes focus on projects and real-time assignments. I did get a research opportunity with Prof. Gina Adam.
Exams :
GRE: 162-Quant, 146- Verbal Min score: No min score required TOEFL: 96 Min score: 90 SOP: Mention about why you are interested to take up the course you are applying for, why GWU, Any professor who you are interested in working with or doing research. I believe GW had a word limit for the SOP we need to submit. Please strictly follow if there is a limit and do not go beyond the word limit. LOR: I took LOR from 3 professors out of which one was my project mentor).
Placement :
Dell picks up many students every year from GW. Most companies that visit do not provide sponsorship so you will have to do that by yourself.
Fees :
$18800 including all the fees(student association, ISO, tuition) everything for 9 credits. Plus 1100 insurance for each Fall semester, 1600 for each Spring semester. (This is university's health insurance, but you have the option to buy it from outside and get this waived off). I did not buy the university's health insurance.
Faculty :
1:13 faculty student ratio Faculty is good but only selected professor teach well in the CS department Extremely helpful and approachable Prof. Youssef left an incredible impact on me.
Campus Life :
There are many clubs and the campus life is great. Extra curricular, sports, celebration of festivals are all up to the mark.
Hostel :
Many options. Metro connectivity is great so you can find cheaper options if you are wiling to commute. I live near the campus in Columbia Plaza Apartments. I live in a 2 bed 2 bath (Huge rooms, huge living area, walk-in closets, modular kitchen). The rent is 3250 and we are 6 people in total.
