Tanmoy Ghosh Review at Webster University, Webster Groves | Collegedunia

Life in Webster University.

TG
5.2 /10

The overall experience, if I have to rate, I will choose 5/10. For me the academic part is good. The syllabus was globally effective. Majority of the teachers were helpful and approachable. The only complain I have from this University is that their marketing campaign is partially vague. They said that anyone can get a part-time job easily. But for me and many other students, it was difficult to get jobs in foreign countries. Also from University, we didn't get proper reference to get a job. After finishing the studies as well we didn't get a proper placement support. So, the life in a different country gets a bit tough, without earnings.

Course Curriculum :

The course curriculum is impactful, to the point.

Exams :

1. IELTS 6.5 2. A professional SOP is required. 3. Previous education scores should be 75% or above to get more scholarship. 4. I had to submit SOP. This is mandatory. 5. I have submitted resume. 6. In SOP, it is good if student is why this course is required for them or the passion for this course. Also, I have gone through 2 rounds of interview.

Placement :

To be honest, it is not that good. There were many local businesses came for the job fair but what I have observed that those companies had more interest in their marketing rather than offering any job or internship. Even if some companies were offering internships, those unpaid. 1% of the entire student strength gets job from career fair. For rest of them it is a real struggle.

Internship :

I didn't opted for any internship.

Fees :

For me it was 9 lakh INR. But the accommodation and food expenses are separate, depends upon the country.

Scholarship :

Yes, I have received 5 lakh INR scholarship.

Faculty :

1. Ratio is 1:15 2. Faculty is knowledge and very much experienced. 3. Faculties are friendly and approachable. 4. For me Mr. Ibrahim Vajzovic was the great teacher and a human being.

Campus Life :

1. The infrastructure was good. 2. Library is online and offline both. 3. Fully WiFi covered campus. 4. Sports events were organized by student council. 5. There were rotary club and Gorlok club was there. Along with cultural club, sports club, IT club etc.

Hostel :

Accommodation was arranged by university but self paid. This also depends upon the country selection.
