Kaavyan Raghavan Review at Arizona State University [ASU], Tempe | Collegedunia

Short perspective of pursuing masters in the US

KR
5.8 /10

Good. I would personally suggest people to score better in GRE and TOEFL to get a high ranking college because that matters in job search.

Course Curriculum :

Academics and curriculum is alright. It's not great but it is also not bad.

Exams :

My GRE score is 312/340 My TOEFL score is 98/120 My CGPA is 8.09 I scored 157 in verbal in GRE SOP and LOR. Include your past experiences and your specific interest to pursue masters in respective universities

Placement :

There is not such thing as placement opportunities. There will be random career fairs but I didn't find them useful enough. Rest is all based on your resume and skills.

Internship :

I'm interning in a company PCI energy solutions as a software developer intern.

Fees :

It is based on credits. For a credit it is 1500$. Apart from that there will be insurance and facilities fees.

Faculty :

1:300 in most of the computer science classes. Each faculty is given few graders and TAs and they are easily approachable.

Campus Life :

All are good but during breaks, students would have to pay to use sport facilities. I didn't like that part.

Hostel :

I'm staying a off-campus community. People get shared apartments for 400-500$ per month.
