My experience has been decent at USF. I've been in several classes where I know the professor is well versed in the content, which makes the learning process a lot less daunting. Social groups are similar to high school culture, so it can be difficult to find new people who are welcoming into friend groups. The university offers lots of events and the sports games are filled with energy.
Course Curriculum :
Some professors teach very well, while other courses seem outdated and not practical at all. I haven't done an internship yet and classes have not helped with it so far.
Exams :
Letter of recommendation was submitted with application. No, college entrance exams were not required.
Placement :
Most students who graduate are able to find an internship or job a couple of months after graduation. The median salary depends completely on where you are hired and the kind of position.
Fees :
$75,000 per year
Scholarship :
I got federal financial aid from FAFSA.
Faculty :
For most classes in my major, the ratio of students to professor is 25:1 although the university advertises it as 13:1. I really like my Islamic Art professor Nathan Dennis and my elementary linear algebra professor Renee Hubert. Also my probability professor Daniel Jerison.
Campus Life :
There are lots of clubs, I'm part of a new one called USF Khandaann which we made for south Asian students to find a community. The Wi-Fi is shaky sometimes, there is a Koret gym, a large library.
Hostel :
The options are very limited, the housing is guaranteed for first and second year students. After that, it's a housing lottery. The new dorm building called Lone Mountain East is an apartment style building, with suites of 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms and a shared kitchen. Housing in the city is hard to find near campus at an affordable price.
