Master of Science [M.Sc] (Management)
Field of Study:
$44,954 /Yr
University of Nottingham MSc Management is a 12-month, full-time master’s at Jubilee Campus, Nottingham, starting September 2027 with international tuition of £34,800 (INR 44.22 Lakhs). Applicants need a UK 2:1 equivalent in any discipline except business or management. Indian thresholds are 60%, 65% or 70%, or CGPA 6.0, 6.5 or 7.0 on 10, according to university tier.
This conversion course builds foundations in economics, accounting, marketing, people management and strategy before a dissertation or selectively available business project. It suits non-business graduates seeking broad management preparation and a professional leadership credential. Its one-year pace favours applicants ready for substantial independent study rather than those wanting a specialist business degree.
- The Chartered Management Institute partnership can add a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice after successful completion of specified modules and the degree.
- The curriculum combines 120 taught credits with a 60-credit summer dissertation or a business project offered subject to availability and selection.
- Students can pursue an optional consultancy challenge and industry-recognised Microsoft or SAP certifications alongside the assessed curriculum.
Current Admission Status
Applications for the September 2027 intake are Not Yet Open. International student deadline: 3 August 2027 (Expected).
The 2027/28 application page says opening details are to be confirmed, and the expected date follows the published recurring international timetable. Because no cutoff time or timezone is published, the university portal will control when submissions close.

University of Nottingham MSc Management Fees and Living Costs 2027
The confirmed 2027/28 international tuition is £34,800 (INR 44.22 Lakhs) for the full-time MSc. Eligible self-funded international students also receive the confirmed 2027 automatic master’s scholarship, reducing calculated tuition without changing the published gross fee.
Target-cycle fee context: The following figures apply to the September 2027 full-time international tier, and the reduced figure is calculated from two verified target-cycle amounts.
| Fee item | GBP | INR equivalent | Applicant meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| Published international tuition | £34,800 | INR 44.22 Lakhs | Gross full-course tuition for full-time study |
| Automatic international master’s scholarship | £3,000 | INR 3.81 Lakhs | Deducted for eligible self-funded 2027 entrants |
| Calculated tuition after that scholarship | £31,800 | INR 40.41 Lakhs | Gross tuition less the verified flat award |
All INR conversions in the article use a conversion rate of GBP 1 = INR 127.06 as of 23 October 2026. Rates fluctuate daily, verify before applying.

The scholarship calculation is usable only when the applicant remains international, self-funded and without another university award or external sponsorship. Equipment and optional personal purchases are additional because the course page recommends a suitable laptop but publishes no amount for it.
Nottingham requires an international postgraduate tuition deposit during the visa process, but the current course page publishes no 2027 amount or instalment schedule. Treat the deposit as an advance against tuition and use only the figure stated in the eventual offer.
Cost of Living in Nottingham for Management Students
The university estimates £800 to £1,200 monthly (INR 1.02 Lakhs to INR 1.52 Lakhs) for accommodation, food and transport together. It does not publish a component breakdown, so the table preserves the combined estimate and calculates only its 12-month extension.
| Expense | Monthly (GBP) | Monthly (INR) | Calculated 12-month total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Accommodation, food and transport combined | £800 to £1,200 | INR 1.02 Lakhs to INR 1.52 Lakhs | £9,600 to £14,400 (INR 12.20 Lakhs to INR 18.30 Lakhs) |
The calculated gross core budget is £44,400 to £49,200 (INR 56.41 Lakhs to INR 62.51 Lakhs), combining published tuition with 12 months of living costs. For an eligible automatic-award recipient, that range becomes £41,400 to £46,200 (INR 52.60 Lakhs to INR 58.70 Lakhs). Neither range includes visa charges, the health surcharge or discretionary equipment.

Budget boundary
The visa maintenance proof is £10,827 (INR 13.76 Lakhs), but it is an immigration threshold rather than Nottingham’s forecast of actual spending. Build cash flow from the higher university living estimate and keep visa evidence separate.
ROI reality: The verified gross core budget reaches £49,200 (INR 62.51 Lakhs), so applicants should secure the tuition source and 12-month living reserve before accepting an offer.
University of Nottingham MSc Management Admission 2027
Admission requires a UK 2:1 equivalent in any discipline except business or management, making this MSc a conversion route rather than an advanced degree for business graduates. The university lists no mandatory work-experience, Graduate Management Admission Test or Graduate Record Examinations threshold for this course.
Academic Eligibility for Indian Applicants
Nottingham maps the 2:1 requirement to three Indian university tiers, so the applicant’s institution changes the required score. The admissions team makes the final equivalency decision after checking the official tier list and academic record.
Official Indian equivalency context: Each row below represents Nottingham’s published 2:1 conversion for a recognised Indian bachelor’s degree.
| Indian university tier | Percentage | GPA on 4.0 | CGPA on 10 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 60% | 3.0 | 6.0 |
| Tier 2 | 65% | 3.2 | 6.5 |
| Tier 3 | 70% | 3.4 | 7.0 |
Applicants close to a tier threshold should not substitute professional experience for the published academic standard without written confirmation. However, Nottingham may consider relevant experience with alternative qualifications individually, so such applicants should submit evidence connecting their work to management study.
English Language Requirements
The course requires International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 6.5 overall with no element below 6.0. Current alternatives include the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic and qualifying central-board English.
Target-cycle English policy: Scores below correspond to Nottingham’s IELTS 6.5 requirement and its current post-January 2026 TOEFL policy.
| Route | Required result | Important condition |
|---|---|---|
| IELTS Academic | 6.5 overall | No element below 6.0 |
| TOEFL iBT after January 2026 | 4.5 overall | No element below 4.5 |
| PTE Academic | 71 overall | Minimum 65 in each element |
| Class XII English | 75% | Central Board of Secondary Education or Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations only |
- Check the Indian university tier before treating 60% as sufficient because Tier 2 and Tier 3 applicants need higher marks.
- For TOEFL tests after January 2026, report Nottingham’s published 1.0 to 6.0 scale and never self-convert an older score.
- Use the Class XII English route only when the certificate is from an accepted central board and meets the 75% threshold.
Student perspective
One 2022 enrollee’s student review described reading-intensive study and assignments of 3,000 to 5,000 words. Treat this individual observation as a prompt to assess academic-writing stamina before enrolment.
These comments are anecdotal and do not replace official University of Nottingham data.
Tip for Indian students: Course fit depends on both the correct university-tier threshold and a non-business academic background, so verify both before paying for an English test.
University of Nottingham MSc Management Application 2027
The programme offers one September 2027 intake, but Nottingham has not opened or dated its 2027/28 application form. The expected international deadline is 3 August 2027, derived from the recurring standard schedule after all current application surfaces were checked.
Expected 2027 schedule: Nottingham publishes no target-cycle cutoff time or timezone, so an Indian Standard Time conversion is impossible until the live portal supplies one.
| Application stage | Published or expected timing | Applicant action |
|---|---|---|
| International submission | 3 August 2027, Expected | Submit earlier because the portal’s eventual timezone controls the cutoff |
| Application decision | Usually within six weeks of complete submission | Respond promptly to requests for further evidence |
| Outstanding offer conditions | Early September 2027, Expected | Reserve visa time after satisfying academic and English conditions |
The expected deadline is a planning marker rather than a confirmed promise, while the six-week decision aim begins only after a complete submission. Applying soon after opening protects time for conditions, funding and the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies needed for a Student visa. No course-specific application fee is published, although the portal requires payment before submission whenever a fee applies.
Management MSc Application Checklist
A complete application starts with clear scans of the degree certificate and final or current transcript. Nottingham may also request two recent references, a personal statement or further evidence such as a curriculum vitae, depending on the file.
- Explain how a non-business degree supplies analytical, quantitative or organisational evidence without claiming prior management study that conflicts with the conversion-course design.
- Connect career goals to the broad core modules, then identify whether the dissertation or selectively available business project better supports that goal.
- Ask referees to address academic ability and provide signed, dated letters on institutional letterhead when the university requests references.
Use the official postgraduate application page to verify the opening date and confirmed international cutoff before submission. The course page publishes no routine interview stage, although admissions can request clarifications or additional evidence.
Application tip: Build the file before the portal opens because the expected 3 August 2027 deadline leaves limited time for a six-week decision and visa preparation.
University of Nottingham MSc Management Scholarships 2027
Eligible self-funded international students entering in 2027 receive the £3,000 award (INR 3.81 Lakhs) automatically at enrolment. The other published options are athlete-specific packages, so they should not be treated as general merit funding.
Award-cycle context: The first row is confirmed for 2027, while Nottingham’s sports awards are currently published without naming a 2027 intake cycle.
| Scholarship | Published value | Cycle status | Eligibility and route |
|---|---|---|---|
| International Postgraduate Masters Scholarship | £3,000 (INR 3.81 Lakhs) towards tuition | Confirmed for 2027 entry | Automatic for eligible international, self-funded, full-time UK-campus master’s students |
| International Sporting Excellence Scholarship | £5,000 (INR 6.35 Lakhs) towards tuition | Current published, cycle not named | International athletes with outstanding ability apply on an ongoing basis |
| Foundation Sports Scholarship Package | £2,500 (INR 3.18 Lakhs) package value | Current published, cycle not named | Academy, national or international athletes, including applicants showing outstanding potential |
| Bronze, Silver and Gold Sports Packages | £4,500 to £13,500 (INR 5.72 Lakhs to INR 17.15 Lakhs) total package value | Current published, cycle not named | Includes support benefits and £1,000 to £8,000 (INR 1.27 Lakhs to INR 10.16 Lakhs) for training and competition |
The automatic award lowers calculated tuition to £31,800 (INR 40.41 Lakhs), but only while every eligibility condition remains satisfied. Sports package totals include services as well as financial support, so applicants should not subtract the whole package value from tuition.
- Self-funded applicants should confirm that no external sponsorship or other university award removes eligibility for the automatic 2027 scholarship.
- Elite athletes can apply for sports funding before receiving an offer, but an award requires a firmly accepted university place.
- Sports applications are assessed continually, so applicants with qualifying competition evidence should prepare records early rather than wait for the academic deadline.

Combination warning
The 2027 automatic-award page excludes another university award, while the sports page says eligible sports and academic scholarships can combine. Check the official scholarship terms and obtain written confirmation before budgeting both.
Scholarship reality: The confirmed general award cuts tuition by £3,000 (INR 3.81 Lakhs), while larger sports packages require exceptional athletic evidence and may not be cash tuition reductions.
University of Nottingham MSc Management Salary 2027
Nottingham publishes no Management MSc cohort salary, offer rate or placement rate for the 2027 course. The closest salary evidence is a Business School-wide average, while destination shares combine International Business, Management and Organisation graduates.
Salary evidence scope: This figure is a school-level outcome for the named cohort and must not be read as the typical salary for Management MSc graduates.
| Evidence | Cohort | Published GBP | INR equivalent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business School postgraduate average starting salary | Higher Education Statistics Agency Graduate Outcomes 2022/23 | £38,931 | INR 49.47 Lakhs |

The school’s five-year career survey provides broader role and industry evidence for the degree group containing Management MSc. These 2021 to 2025 shares show career breadth, but they do not measure individual placement probability or starting pay.
| Evidence type | Destination | Share | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| Job role | Marketing and sales | 19% | International Business, Management and Organisation degrees |
| Job role | Human resources | 16% | International Business, Management and Organisation degrees |
| Job role | Finance | 15% | International Business, Management and Organisation degrees |
| Job role | General management | 13% | International Business, Management and Organisation degrees |
| Industry | Financial services | 19% | International Business, Management and Organisation degrees |
| Industry | Technology | 13% | International Business, Management and Organisation degrees |
| Industry | Manufacturing | 10% | International Business, Management and Organisation degrees |
| Industry | Consulting | 9% | International Business, Management and Organisation degrees |
The official master’s destinations dataset also names employers of recent Business School graduates, but not hiring volumes or sponsorship. Applicants should therefore use the role mix to test career alignment rather than infer access to any named employer.
ROI for Indian Applicants
The calculated gross core cost is £44,400 to £49,200 (INR 56.41 Lakhs to INR 62.51 Lakhs) before visa charges. Since course-specific pay and offers are unpublished, the return on investment depends on funding, role access and work location rather than a defensible payback period.
- The school-level salary is £38,931 (INR 49.47 Lakhs) before tax, so do not compare it directly with the full cost as a one-year repayment forecast.
- The automatic award lowers core cost to £41,400 to £46,200 (INR 52.60 Lakhs to INR 58.70 Lakhs), so confirm eligibility before fixing the funding gap.
- The 18-month Graduate Route for 2027 applicants compresses the UK job-search window, so start role research and employer-sponsorship checks during the taught semesters.
- The grouped career mix spans marketing, human resources, finance and management, so India-return applicants should obtain local salary evidence for their chosen function.
Gross pay differs from take-home income because tax, National Insurance and pension deductions depend on personal circumstances. Use the official income-tax estimator before comparing UK net pay with the verified course budget.
Student perspective
An individual 2022 enrollee described job applications and networking as self-directed, with career fairs providing information rather than direct hiring. Start employer research early and treat university careers support as preparation, not placement.
ROI reality: The £38,931 (INR 49.47 Lakhs) school-wide salary cannot prove Management MSc payback, so the decision needs funded costs and role-specific salary evidence.
UK Visa for Nottingham MSc Management Students 2027
Indian entrants need a United Kingdom Student visa for this full-time course. The application costs £558 (INR 70,899), while the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) is £776 (INR 98,599) for each charged year. These immigration amounts remain separate from tuition and Nottingham’s living-cost forecast.
- Outside London maintenance evidence is £1,203 monthly (INR 1.53 Lakhs), producing a nine-month requirement of £10,827 (INR 13.76 Lakhs).
- The Graduate Route provides 18 months after successful completion for applications made from 1 January 2027, but it does not guarantee sponsored work.
- The standard Skilled Worker salary threshold is £41,700 (INR 52.98 Lakhs), and qualifying employment can lead to Indefinite Leave to Remain after five years.
- Taught master’s students normally cannot sponsor new dependants, although eligible government-sponsored students on courses longer than six months retain an exception.

Visa reality: The 18-month Graduate Route is shorter than the course’s cost-recovery horizon, so applicants should test sponsored-role availability before committing funds.
University of Nottingham MSc Management Ranking 2027
The course page reports Nottingham in the world top 100 for management in the QS World Business Master’s Rankings 2026. This is a management-category result rather than an overall university position or a graduate-employment measure.
Published programme context: The live 2027 course page gives a band, not an exact position or comparable previous-year rank.
| Ranking | Edition | Scope | Published position |
|---|---|---|---|
| QS World Business Master’s Rankings | 2026 | Management | World top 100 |
The ranking supports international visibility, while the Chartered Management Institute partnership adds a separate professional signal through the Level 7 Diploma. Applicants should still prioritise module fit, funding and function-specific job access because neither credential supplies a placement guarantee.
Check Out: University of Nottingham subject ranking context
Honest take: A world top 100 management band strengthens visibility, but the unpublished course placement rate makes curriculum fit and self-directed career preparation more decisive.
The MSc fits non-business graduates who want broad functional training, leadership development and a recognised professional diploma within one year. Its conversion curriculum supports a management pivot while the optional project can add applied teamwork when available. The material tradeoff is a concentrated workload and a high self-funded cost without course-specific placement evidence. Prepare the application before the portal opens, then confirm the deadline and scholarship compatibility before committing funds.
University of Nottingham MSc Management FAQs
Ques. Is the Nottingham MSc Management suitable for a business graduate?
Ans. Usually not, because the published requirement excludes business or management degrees and the programme is designed as a conversion course. Applicants with substantial prior business study should compare the separate Business and Management MSc before applying.
Ques. Does the Management MSc require work experience, GMAT or GRE?
Ans. The course publishes no mandatory work-experience, Graduate Management Admission Test or Graduate Record Examinations threshold. Selection instead begins with the 2:1 equivalent, subject-background rule, English evidence and requested application documents.
Ques. What total budget should an Indian applicant prepare?
Ans. Tuition plus 12 months of university-estimated living costs produces £44,400 to £49,200 (INR 56.41 Lakhs to INR 62.51 Lakhs). Eligible automatic-award recipients can reduce that core range by £3,000 (INR 3.81 Lakhs), while visa and equipment costs remain additional.
Ques. When should an international applicant submit for September 2027?
Ans. The application form is not yet open, and 3 August 2027 is an expected rather than confirmed international deadline. Submitting soon after opening protects the university’s six-week decision window and leaves time for outstanding conditions and visa steps.
Ques. Is the MSc a defensible investment for a UK career?
Ans. The school-wide starting salary is £38,931 (INR 49.47 Lakhs), but the course publishes no salary or offer rate. Treat the 18-month Graduate Route and self-directed hiring process as risks, then test target employers before accepting the cost.

- Infrastructure of the business school is really good. The libraries are huge and has meeting rooms and study rooms which students can book them for group studies or to study alone.
- It belongs to Russell group.
- Academic structure and the teaching way is different than in India. You get to learn lot more things than just memorising for exams.
Dislikes
- The course was for one year. Would have been good if it was two years.
- Need to concentrate on having more classes on networking and job search.
- Could have had more classes on Job market in the UK.
- I had applied to three colleges for Masters in Management:
1) University of Nottingham
2) University of Birmingham
3) University of Exeter - I received offers from University of Nottingham and University of Exeter. University of Birmingham rejected my application because I didn’t had any prior experience in management and nor had I studied management in my Bachelors. I was from Mechanical Engineering background. So they said that for Masters in Management I would need to have any one in above two things.
- As Nottingham University was under Russell group, I opted it. The admission process was smooth. I was sent an offer letter. Once I accepted the letter, I had to pay the deposit of £2000. Once the amount was paid, the CAS letter was generated which would be necessary for the VISA application. The rest of the fee was paid in three instalments. The eligibility criteria was to have good academic background and proficiency in English. I had given IELTS and had a score of 7.
- I applied for Fall intake. Most of the top ranking University has Fall intake rather than January intake. Due to certain circumstances I applied very late which was in May second week. I received my offer letter within two weeks of applying. Then once I accepted, I had to pay deposit to get the CAS letter. Once it was done, then I got the letter within few days.
