  • Mechanical engineering is recognized as one of the broadest of the engineering disciplines and offers a wide variety of career options. This course includes an optional year in the industry, at no extra cost.
  • IMechE accredited BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering prepares for high earning potential as a professional engineer. By joining Teesside University’s mechanical engineering degree students will be on a path to full registration as a chartered engineer.
  • This program takes advantage of the University's location in a major industrial center by providing practical activities in the field and a number of opportunities to engage with industry. Teesside University is a natural choice if students are seeking the skills and knowledge required for employment in industries including aerospace, automotive, marine, manufacturing, medical, rail, renewable energy, oil and gas, power, and process.
  • They are taught by experienced staff who have a wealth of experience and industry expertise - many continue to support external organizations on collaborative research or innovative enterprising projects.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • 96-112 points from any combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications. Examples include A-level, BTEC, Access to HE Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, T-Level, or the International Baccalaureate.
  • Level 3 Mathematics.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • Applicants must have:

  • India Standard XII – 65% minimum from all state boards.
  • Diploma from the State Board of Technical Education with 60% minimum (including MEng).
  • Holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma with 28 points or more will be considered for direct admission to Bachelor degree courses.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
