The Economics programs at King’s Business School have a detailed analysis of economic theory and its applications. The programs will develop students’ analytical and critical skills through modules in economic theory, statistics, maths, and econometrics, and apply these to a range of problems in the economy, politics, and policy-making. They have visiting Professor practitioners such as David Ramsden, the chief economist at the Treasury, and David Halpern, head of Number 10’s Nudge unit. They also ranked 7th in the UK for Economics (Times Higher Education University World Rankings).

  • Dislikes:
  • Major emphasis on self-studying (less hand-held support), Assessment arrangements can sometimes be "not ideal", Cost of Living

I chose my course, particularly King's because I did not know what I wanted to do at the time of applying but I had a rough idea that it would be something related to economics and the field of finance which is why I chose economics and management which has a good mix of both quantitative and qualitative learning.

  • Dislikes:
  • Placement cell not so efficient. Fewer opportunities and guidance.

My university is known for the efficient and learned staff along with the unique body of researches conducted at the institute. It is known as the best for finance courses and industry exposure programmes. Hence, this was the main point that attracted me to select this university and gain profound knowledge.
